The Church of St George (კალაურის წმინდა გიორგის ეკლესია), located about one kilometre south of the village of Kalauri, is a sixth-century single-nave structure with a sanctuary apse to the east. The church has undergone several restorations—first in the late Middle Ages, then in 1873, and again in 1988. The original structure was built of cobblestone, while the restored sections feature a variety of materials, including brick. The interior preserves murals dating back to the sixteenth century.
