LEVAN TSUTSKIRIDZE

Levan Tsutskiridze (ლევან ცუცქირიძე - born 1926, Khashuri - died 2021, Tbilisi) Tsutskiridze was a Georgian painter, graphic artist, muralist, and teacher. He studied at the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts (1946-1957). Beginning from the late 1950s until his death, he was one of the leading figures in Georgian fine arts. He was the author of numerous book illustrations, and also painted the murals in Sioni Cathedral (1989). Exhibitions of Tsutskiridze’s works have been held at different times both in Georgia and in many countries around the world.
