Zurab Arabidze (ზურაბ არაბიძე) is an architect and contemporary artist. Born in 1980 Tbilisi, Georgia. 1997/2002 – Graduated from Georgian Technical University. (Master’s degree in Architecture and Design granted.) He started to draw at the age of 6. At 21 he discovered the art of photography. His first solo show took place at the “WINZAVOD” Center for Contemporary Art in 2009. Zurab’s artistic approach is based on the principles of minimalism. His works are dominated by sharp geometric figures and neutral colors, devoid of signs and metaphors.
Zurab Arabidze’s work mostly involves conceptual art, photography and visual installations. Arabidze’s work was shown at the “Photo Basel” international art fair in 12.06.2017. Arabidze’s work was also sold in 2016 at Publication CHRISTIES’S contemporary art auction “off white” Moscow, Russia. Zurab Arabidze’s works have been shown in Tbilisi (Georgia) as well as abroad: Geneva (Switzerland), Paris (France), Tallinn (Estonia), Vilnius (Lithuania), Istanbul (Turkey), Moscow (Russia), Baku (Azerbaijan).
