SANDRO SULABERIDZE - EXOTIC EYE OBSERVER

10 MAY / 17:00 TBC CONCEPT
TBC Concept Flagship is hosting Sandro Sulaberidze’s exhibition ‘Exotic Eye Observer’ at 7 Marjanishvili St. Observation is interaction. The human superpower is the millions of eyes that observe throughout the earth and beyond it.
The significance of the external observer extends all the way from the James Webb Space Telescope and to the sticker-covered cameras on personal computers. Images captured by hidden cameras and manipulated images have a significant impact on our lives. These technologies, which have become commonplace, are occasionally dangerous and occasionally fascinating. Hundreds of cameras installed throughout the recreation park create an atmosphere of both safety and insecurity.
The "Exotic Eye of the Observer" exhibition features the results of optical experiments conducted by Sandro Sulaberidze. Self-made cameras and the photographs they take are a form of deconstructing information technology.
Sandro Sulaberidze (b. 1991), is a Tbilisi-based media artist and photographer. His work focuses on the meaning of light, perception and the flow of information. In his work, he explores light as the primary carrier of information and energy, and raises questions about how virtual reality is constructed, how it alters our perception, and how it defines public life. Sandro is an active participant in both domestic and international art initiatives.
